Each pair gets exactly one 20×20 cm sheet of aluminium foil. Shape it into a boat, float it, and load coins one at a time until it sinks — then reshape the same sheet and try again. The same foil can hold fifty coins or sink with two, depending entirely on its shape. Then comes the stability test: a gentle nudge to the tub.
